Alice L. Fontier has been a criminal defense attorney for over ten years – representing thousands of clients in both state and federal courts. Her work in all areas of criminal defense has earned her the respect of judges, prosecutors, and her fellow defense attorneys.After graduating from top-ranked New York University School of Law in 2003, Ms. Fontier worked as a Federal Defender in San Diego, California.  There, she represented indigent clients charged with a range of federal crimes including immigration, white collar, and serious drug offenses. Always willing go to trial when the circumstances called for it, she took over twenty cases to verdict and had a very impressive success rate.   Following her time in San Diego, Ms. Fontier returned to New York City in 2005 and began work as a public defender at the nationally-recognized Bronx Defenders. She represented hundreds of clients in New York State court charged with everything from simple misdemeanors to violent felonies. Once again, Ms. Fontier took a large number of cases to trial and achieved outstanding results for her clients.  
Ms. Fontier has now been in private practice for over five years.  Recently, she worked at a boutique law firm specializing in federal criminal defense with a focus on national security cases. There, she represented multiple clients accused of Material Support for Terrorism, Narco-Terrorism, and related conspiracies, and received clearance to work on cases involving national security.  Ms. Fontier also worked on multiple high-profile cases, including various complex white collar frauds.  
Finally, Ms. Fontier has years of appellate experience, having argued cases in state courts of appeals and federal circuit courts around the country.  She is admitted to practice in New York and California. Now running her own law firm, Ms. Fontier represents clients in both state and federal court in all parts of New York City and White Plains.  She handles both trials and appeals. Crucially, Ms. Fontier practices only criminal defense, because she believes that specializing in criminal cases allows her to provide clients with the top-notch service they expect and deserve.
